Week One

Orientation week means being a tourist. So naturally we took a coach all over cental London and visited spots like Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge, and Harrods!

Hyde Park , overlooking the Serpentine

Dipping our feet in the Diana Memorial Fountain (you can do that, dontcha know!). Mallory, Inti, moi

The whole group at the fountain with Simon our tourguide (Megan, Karen, Rachel, Chelsey, me, Inti, Mallory, Sherria).

Buckingham Palace

Tower Bridge

Kensington Palace (not too far from where we live actually! Hyde Park is just down the street as well)

Flat B enjoying drinks and hamburgers courtesy of the FIE barbecue held at Imperial College (Simon told us it's the equivalent of MIT).

Flat A - that's us!

Carolina intrigued by the video game ride in the arcade at Piccadilly.

Ralf in front of the Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, also in Piccadilly.

Auntie Bonet and Ralf in front of that famous statue (I don't even know what that is!). Also in Piccadilly.

Lantern on the West, Bath, England

The clouds here move so fast. It will be sunny for two seconds before the wind blows and the clouds cover the sun for the rest of the day. Check out that one sunny spot in the distance straight ahead. This is at Stonehenge, about an hour and a half outside London.

Stonehenge. I was quite disappointed the rocks weren't as massive as they look on the t.v.!

A square outside the church in Bath

The Roman Baths. The water was very, very warm too!

There are loads of these little off-streets - many cobblestoned - in Bath. I love them.

Overlooking the River Avon, Bath

An Australian street band that likes to "rock out." Check out the guitarist with the dreads!

Watching the band.

Pulteney Bridge, Bath
